Home > Frequently Asked Questions What is Laser Sorting? Laser sorting is an optional service offered by VOGELSANG. We have invested in custom manufactured laser devices which can sort for extraneous materials which might be introduced during a post-manufacturing process such as heat treating or plating. By screening the pins for diameter and length characteristics, the problem of the occasional mixed or foreign parts in a shipment can be greatly reduced. Our goal is to provide zero defects and laser sorting brings us closer to that goal.
