Why use a coiled spring pin instead of a slotted spring pin?
A coiled spring pin enhances all the features of a slotted spring pin from a fastening standpoint with additional features for specific applications. Coiled pins have a 2-1/4 helical wrap of layered material which provides more flexibility, ease of insertion, 270 degrees of radial contact, less scaring during insertion, and more effectively accommodates out of round and wider hole tolerance. Pins are offered in several duty classifications of light, medium, and heavy provided in materials of high carbon steel, 420 and 300 series stainless.
